Educational Tour Club

Thunderbolt is proud to offer a travel club for our 7th and 8th grade students.

We travel within the United States to different locations each year to support our science and social studies curriculum.

One year is dedicated to social studies. Students will expand their knowledge of American History, geographical history, and explore the cultural differences that come with traveling to Boston.

The other year is dedicated to science. Students will enrich their science education through hands on, interactive excursions including hiking the Everglades, kayaking the Mangroves, swimming with dolphins, dissections, visiting a turtle sanctuary and more in sunny Florida.

Please consider allowing your student the opportunity to experience team bonding, exotic foods, traveling to different parts of the country, and the overall experience that guided tours have to offer. It is the chance of a lifetime, don't let it pass you by.

If any student must withdraw from the tour, all funds ETC has issued to that student for his/her tour must be returned to the Thunderbolt Middle School Educational Tour Club. These funds will be used for the remaining students' tour expenses.

The Educational Tour Club is a tax-credit approved club, so with help from friends and family who work in AZ and are willing to designate some of their AZ income taxes toward the educational tour Club, the trip doesn't have to cost anything. (A tax credit is money you will get back. It applies directly to the amount of taxes you owe when you file your AZ taxes). The Educational Tour Club will also sponsor fundraising events during the school year.
